Dr. Stephen P. Barrows is Chief Operating Officer at the Acton Institute.
A former U.S. Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Barrows served 21 years as an acquisition officer, economics professor at the U.S. Air Force Academy, and faculty mentor at the National Military Academy of Afghanistan. Following his military career, he became Executive Vice President, Provost, and Dean of Faculty at Aquinas College.

John C. Pinheiro, Ph.D., is Director of Research at Acton Institute. He works closely with Istituto Acton on Acton’s programming in Rome. He is author of books and articles on the American founding, Catholic Social Teaching, and American religious history—topics on which he speaks internationally, including to Catholic religious leaders.
